Rescue
It was late at night in Amity Park when Danny and his friends, Sam and Tucker, were finishing up their nightly ghost-hunting rounds. Sam & Tuck were following Danny as he glided silently through the park.
“Come on, Danny,” complained Tucker, “we’ve been through the park 3 times already! Don’t you think that’s enough for one night?”
“Tucker’s right.” said Sam, obviously exhausted, “If there were any other ghosts, wouldn’t we have found them by now?”
“I don’t know; something doesn’t feel right,” said Danny, glancing over his shoulder warily. “Oh, I guess you’re right,” he sighed, “I’ll see you guys at school.”
“Later,” replied Sam and Tucker, turning around to head home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
While flying home, Danny just couldn’t shake off the feeling that someone was watching him.
A blue wisp of air escaped his lips, and he became ready for whatever was about to happen.
All of a sudden, he felt a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down and saw what looked like a clear syringe with green feathers on the end. A laugh came from a dark alley.
“It won’t be long now, ghost child,” said the voice. Danny instantly recognized it as Skulker’s.
“What is this,” asked Danny as he removed the dart from his leg, “some sort of poison?”
“No. Actually, it’s a strong tranquilizer, formulated especially for you. It should kick in any minute now,” laughed Skulker.
Danny started to feel dizzy, and his vision was blurring. Never the less, he was willing to fight. He came at Skulker, getting ready to punch, when Skulker smacked him up onto the roof of a nearby building.
Danny laid there, too tired to get up, his head pounding, as Skulker flew over to him, getting ready to wrap him up in a net.
Just then, a light blue aura surrounded Skulker as he flew up into the air.
“What’s going on?” yelled Skulker, looking furious.
Danny could just barely see two glowing eyes in the distance, same color as the light outlining Skulker. The dark figure moved its hand up and down, slamming him into the top of an apartment complex several times. The figure then flew at Skulker with amazing speed. It punched him and sent Skulker flying.
As the figure flew closer, a feeling of worry came over Danny. If it beat Skulker that easily, what could it do to him?
It kneeled beside Danny, and he finally saw who had saved him. It was a girl, and she was obviously a ghost. Her wavy hair was a light blonde, reminding him of a beautiful sunshine, and was held back by a black headband and scrunchie A/N: her headband isn’t worn around her forehead, but up and down, from behind her ears to the top of her head. She was wearing a defining jumpsuit that was similar to his. It was black where his was black, but the white on his was cerulean on hers. The gloves and boots looked like they were imprinted onto by a cerulean flame. And her eyes…they were a pale blue, and one of the most amazing things he’d ever seen.
“Who are you?” Danny asked quietly, close to passing out.
“The name’s Sheik,” answered the ghost girl. Her voice was so calming. He felt like he could lay there forever and not be harmed, as long as she was there.
“Sheik…” said Danny sleepily. He tried to stay awake, but his efforts were in vain. He slowly drifted off to sleep.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As she kneeled next to Danny, Sheik began to wonder who he was. She then dug through his thoughts and found his name, Danny F-----, a human who was half ghost. She couldn’t get the rest of his name; it’s much more difficult to read thoughts and memories from someone else’s mind if they’re asleep or unconscious.
She began to look over him, making sure he wasn’t seriously hurt. He had some bruises, but nothing serious. Danny hadn’t changed back into his human form, so he wasn’t unconscious.
Sheik couldn’t help herself but to admire Danny. His messy, snow-white hair, coupled with his neon-green eyes, was quite handsome. His black and white jumpsuit just added to it. She then noticed the “DP” logo, but couldn’t get her thoughts to focus on what the “P” stood for.
She entered his mind again to find where he lived and saw a large neon sign with the words “Fenton Works” on it.
“Fenton…that must be his last name,” Sheik thought to herself. “Wait a minute! It couldn’t be, could it?” she thought, alarmed at the possibility that he could…well, that’s not important now. The important thing was to get him home.
She picked Danny up and flew to his house, pondering that possibility. If it was true, she wouldn’t be sure what to do.
When Sheik finally got to Danny’s house, she flew through the walls up to Danny’s room and placed him on his bed. She held her two hands over him, changing him back to his human form. Even in his human form, with his ruffled black hair and sky blue eyes, distinctly different from his ghost form, he was no less attractive.
As she walked to back to his window, she glanced back at the sleeping teenager, doing a final check to make sure everything was alright.
“Good night, Danny Fenton,” Sheik whispered with a kind smile, and with that, she flew off into the night.
